Anthony Goode (CSSW)
National Specification Manager, Visqueen

Anthony has worked within the construction industry for over 20 years, and in that time has predominantly been involved with ground gas and structural waterproofing systems. Working for the last 10 years at Visqueen, a leading supplier of these systems in the UK, Anthony has been involved in the design and specification of ground gas and waterproofing systems to specifiers and contractors and has a long track record of working with design teams to help provide the best advice for the most challenging of projects. Anthony gained the CSSW (Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing) accreditation from the PCA (Property Care Association) in 2015 and has been on the board of directors of the Radon Council since 2022.

Steve D’Arcy (CSSW),
Technical Development Manager, Visqueen

Steve has worked within the construction industry for over 40 years with leading damp proofing, gas protection and structural waterproofing manufacturers. He has worked for Visqueen for 13 years in a number of roles, including as a Technical Support Manager in the North West region. Currently Steve runs a range of short duration theory and practical skills related courses at Visqueen’s National Training Academy in Derbyshire. Steve holds an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Substructure Work Occupations (Installation of Gas Membranes - Construction).

Neil Salvidge
Training Manager

Training, Development & Assessment Having originally trained as a carpenter and joiner, Neil moved to the geomembrane sector in the 1990s and in 2000 he joined PAGeoTechnical Ltd as an Installation Technician and trainer, promoting best practice through training. Neil gained Assessor status with CITB, as the initial assessor for NVQ Level 2 in gas membrane installation. He is involved with developing industry standards and has supported the development of NVQ Level 4 Verification of Ground Gas protection systems. In 2018, Neil established his independent training company and remains passionate about the delivery of quality training.

John Naylor
Technical Director, Ground-Gas Solutions Ltd

Ground-Gas Solutions Ltd John has over 20 years of professional experience working within the contaminated land and landfill arenas for both the public and private sectors. He has worked to improve the contaminated land investigation, assessment, remediation and verification at both practical and regulatory levels. A key developer of continuous ground gas monitoring methodologies, John has helped to establish guidance in ground gas issues, working closely with consultants, local authorities and landowners. As well as developing verification and validation best practice and training, John is a Chartered Environmentalist and is a member of both the EPUK Quality Committee and Vice Chair of The Radon Council.
