THE PROJECT

A new stylish housing estate located between two major routes into the city centre of Manchester.

The houses are being built on a brownfield site that was previously used for ‘industrial’ usage.

THE GROUND GAS PROTECTION SYSTEM

Visqueen Technical Department proposed a design solution to protect the housing via the use of Visqueen HC Blok, a membrane that is used to provide protection against VOC / Hydrocarbons and other gases in the ground.

Using our specialist equipment, our in house installation teams were able to heat weld the membranes.

PRS have had the pleasure of working directly with Visqueen technical department for a number of years, allowing us to build a very good relationship with the global company. As a result, we are in constant contact with their technical managers who offer PRS regular advice, ongoing training for new products and advice for any on-site variations etc

Our installation teams have obtained associated qualifications for the works ie NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Substructure Work Occupations (Installation of Gas Membranes).
